Sports LED Screens

A sports LED screen displays scores, replays and sponsor content so that it is readable from every seat in the stands. Lumepix supplies stadiums, sports halls and schools with impact-resistant LED screens, scoreboards and perimeter boards, complete with installation and integration.

Where Sports LED Screens Work

A sports screen must be clearly readable from every part of the stands, withstand impacts and show scores and replays without delay. The solution is configured to suit the needs of the venue and the sport.

Stadiums

Large video screens for scores, replays and fan entertainment, plus perimeter boards for sponsors.

Sports Halls and Arenas

Scoreboards, centre-hung cube screens and wall screens for basketball, volleyball, handball and ice hockey.

Perimeter Boards

Pitch-side advertising screens that rotate sponsor ads throughout the match.

School Sports Halls

Simple, durable scoreboards and information screens for competitions and events.

Swimming Pools and Ice Rinks

Solutions for humid or cold environments, where the screen must withstand demanding conditions.

Fitness and Training Centres

Workout instructions, timers, class schedules and advertising, all on one screen.

How to Choose a Sports Screen

When choosing a sports screen, durability, integration with the scoring system and broadcast requirements matter just as much as image quality.

Viewing Distance and Size

From the stands, the screen is viewed from tens of metres away, so size and readability are what matter most. Large stadiums suit a coarser pixel pitch, while sports halls and scoreboards viewed from closer up call for a finer pitch.

Impact Resistance

In a sports hall, the screen will get hit by the ball. GOB modules with a protective coating, a protective grille or a soft protective mask keep the LEDs intact. Perimeter boards use a soft front surface that also protects players in the event of a collision.

Scoring System Integration

The screen is connected to the game and timing system so that the score, game clock, penalties and statistics are displayed automatically. The same screen can also show replays, live footage and sponsor content.

TV Broadcasting

If matches are broadcast or filmed, the refresh rate must be at least 3840 Hz to prevent flicker in the camera image. For perimeter boards, consistent colour and brightness along their entire length are also important.

Indoor or Outdoor

An outdoor stadium screen must be readable in sunlight and weatherproof. In indoor halls, a finer pixel pitch, lower brightness and quiet operation without loud fan noise matter more.

Sponsor Content

Screen time sold to sponsors is one of the ways a sports screen pays for itself. Content management software makes it possible to build ad blocks tied to game time and report impressions back to sponsors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, if the right solution is chosen. Sports hall screens use modules with a protective coating, protective grilles or a soft protective mask. The choice depends on the sport and the screen's location.

In most cases, yes. Many scoring and timing systems output data that the screen software can display. We determine the integration options based on your existing system before the project begins.

A perimeter board is a low, long LED screen positioned along the edge of the playing field that rotates sponsor ads. It is visible both to the stands and in TV broadcasts, and allows multiple sponsors to be shown on a single surface.

Yes. The screen takes input from a camera or production system, and the same surface can be split between the score, live footage, replays and sponsor content.

The price depends on the screen size, pixel pitch, protective features, support structure and scoring system integration. Send us your venue details and the solution you have in mind, and we'll prepare a quote.
